Tausha from Sassy Style Redesign

October 31, 2012
I am so excited to be chatting with everyone over here at Time Out for Women! I want to take a second and introduce myself if I may.

My name is Tausha & I am a mama to 3 girls, a wife to a fabulous man, a Mormon and a the creator of the blog, Sassy Style Redesign.com.  I am passionate about a lot of things. Diet Coke, peanut M&M’s, crock pot dinners, spray painting, & my hot glue gun. I love being creative, shopping for clothes that I don’t need & decorating my house so it feels more like a home.

There are a couple of things that you need to know about me. I can NOT sew a stitch. Truth be told, I don’t even know how to turn on a sewing machine. (I totally bribe my little sister to make pillows for me) I told you that I love to be creative, and this includes making new or showing my seasonal decor a little bit of love.

This year, I decided that I needed some more pumpkins. I love pumpkins! Apparently, I decided that I was going to collect them, and now I have way more than one person should. But, does that stop me from making more? No, of course not! So, whether you have an addiction to pumpkins, or need a new &  simple, autumn, no sew project, these pumpkins will make you happy!

Ready? Of course you are…

First, you need to gather your supplies.

Fabric-big enough to make the pumpkin you are wanting. I like big and fat pumpkins, so my fabric is about 24x24. I also went through my fabric, old tablecloth and blanket stash. Yes, I am one of “those” people.
Batting-you can head to your thrift store and find a pillow to pull apart, or you can buy a bag of batting. I used both and they both worked great
Jute-I found that this worked the very best to hold the whole thing together. If you already have some other ribbon in your stash, feel free to use that.
Supplies to make a junk bow-what the heck is a junk bow? Well, I think that it was makes these pumpkins so fantastic! I did a post all about it. Check it out and I am pretty sure that you will be addicted to making junk bows too!

I told you that they were extremely easy! Anyone can make them! Warning-it is hard to stop at one!
I think that these would make the perfect hostess gift for thanksgiving or add to a , pumpkin grouping. Or if you are really nice,  a gift for a friend…just because.
