How to feel more peace.

Hi friends!

A few months ago, we asked the Magnify community (that’s YOU) what they needed most in life right at that moment. The answer was overwhelmingly universal—PEACE.

Knowing how much we have all been seeking the same thing, it didn’t feel coincidental when President Nelson made peace a focus of the most recent general conference. In addition to the Prophet’s recent words, we can also look to the scriptures for evidence that prioritizing peace has always been front and center.

People have always sought peace, and Christ has always been the source. Sometimes creating a life where we prioritize peace and root ourselves in Christ requires us to live differently than what’s comfortable or popular.

One of the driving goals of Magnify is to come together to cultivate what we need to LIVE DIFFERENTLY! President Nelson has just given us the game plan for just that in his Peacemakers Needed talk. Over on our @magnifycommunity Instagram, we are spending the next few months digging into PEACE!

What is peace? How do we find it? How do we create it? How do we share it? How do we receive it? How do we feel it? And mostly, how can we get more of it?

We hope you will join us, but first—here is a head start!

Feel Better in 5! Bringing meaning to the checklist!

  • Cheer for others!

    • His true disciples build, lift, encourage, persuade, and inspire—no matter how difficult the situation. President Nelson

  • Prepare for peace.

    • Making time to connect with the Lord in some way each day will soften our hearts and minds to help us choose peace over contention when conflict arises throughout the day.

  • Be slow to judge.

    • People going through hard things need love and support, not side-eyes and criticism. Let’s practice leading with love and support. The increase in love we give will directly tie to the peace and love we are able to receive.

  • Log out and tune in.

    • Taking a break from social media and the pressures of the world, even for a short time, can help us come back to reality. Peace is more accessible when we are present.

  • Prioritize your relationship with Christ.

    • We can invest in our relationship with Christ like we would any other relationship. Communicate, spend time, and work to grow closer.

The peace that comes through Christ is unlike any other! It is worth working for, waiting for, and fighting for. Ultimately the first place to start is just asking. Sincerely pray and ask how to feel more peace. We will be shown the way!
