About TOFW

Who is TOFW for?

Time Out for Women is a weekend event for women of all ages to gather with friends and family to be spiritually uplifted and renewed through words and music. While event content will reflect the beliefs of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, women of all faiths are welcome to join us!

HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO ATTEND?

TOFW is designed for women ages 18+. While the event is designed for adult women, mothers are free to determine whether their older teenage daughters would also benefit from a TOFW experience. Due to logistical and safety constraints at event venues, we cannot accommodate young children or toddlers. See "Event Accommodations" section for infant policy.

What happened to TOFG?

Time out for Girls is on pause for now. We feel the responsibility that comes with inspiring and influencing our Latter-day Saint youth. We are taking the opportunity to evaluate and assess how to best evolve our youth program for the best possible experience in the future.

EVENT REGISTRATION

Is there a group discount?

Yes! After our pre-sale, the way to get the lowest ticket price is to register in a group of 4 or more. So invite all of your favorite ladies to come with you and enjoy $20 off of each regular priced registration. Group rate is only available during Early Registration, so don’t delay.

CAN I REGISter FOR JUST ONE DAY? 

Unable to commit to the full event? No problem! Single day registration offers flexible options for those unable to attend the full event. Main Event registration (available after pre-sale) includes attendance on Saturday, event workbook, and tote bag! Opening Event registration includes attendance on Friday only (workbook and tote bag not included). If available, opening event registration can be purchased after early registration has ended. Single day registration is not eligible for premium seating.

can i register for someone else?

Yes! TOFW is a perfect gift! During registration, you can select the number of tickets you'd like to purchase and you will be given the opportunity designate a name and email address for each person you are registering. An email will be sent to each individual with their ticket! If you are giving it as a gift and don't want to spoil the surprise, you can always list your own information initially and then go back and edit the name after you've given the gift.

IS MY Registration REFUNDABLE?

Unfortunately, registration is non-refundable. If you need to sell your ticket, we recommend you go to the TOFW city-specific Facebook event page and let people know you have a ticket(s) for sale. If someone else will be using your ticket, please update the attendee contact information on the order by following the transfer instructions below. As a convenience, if an event is sold out, there will be a list posted at the information table at the event where attendees can buy and sell tickets with one another. TOFW staff cannot sell or give already purchased tickets on behalf of attendees.

Can I transfer my registration to someone else?

Yes. If you are unable to attend and would like to allow someone else to use your registration, simply edit the name on your order. On your order confirmation click "VIEW YOUR ORDER ONLINE". This will take you to your order. Click on the edit button next to the name you'd like to change and update the information for the new attendee.

Scholarship registrations are not transferable.

HOW CAN I GET A TICKET TO A SOLD-OUT EVENT?

When a TOFW event sells out, typically no other tickets will be available through online registration. We recommend that you post a request on the TOFW city-specific Facebook event page letting people know you are looking for tickets. We direct people with available tickets to post on this page. Make sure you give enough information for people to be able to contact you easily and check the page often for others posting that they have tickets to sell. As a convenience, if an event is sold out, there will be a list posted at the information table at the event where attendees can buy and sell tickets with one another. We cannot guarantee that tickets will be available on-site when an event is sold out. TOFW is not responsible for the authenticity of tickets purchased between individuals; be cautious of possible scams.

Special Requests

CAN MOTHERS WITH INFANTS ATTEND?

Mothers are welcome to bring their infants under one year old. At each venue, a mother’s lounge with a live audio feed will be available. There is no designated seating for mothers with infants, so we suggest you select a seat that allows for an easy exit. In order to provide the best experience for all attendees, we ask that you step out if your baby becomes fussy. Where possible, the Mother’s Lounge will have access to an electrical outlet so nursing moms can have a semi-private place to pump.

HOW CAN I MAKE AN ACCESSIBILITY REQUEST?

CAN I GET SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION AT THE EVENT?

Attendees in need of sign language interpretation can make a request on the accessibility accommodations page. Please take note of the request deadline. Event proceedings will be shown on large screens, which can be especially helpful for those who prefer to read lips.

IS LANGUAGE TRANSLATION AVAILABLE?

TOFW event proceedings will be in English. If an attendee needs language translation, the attendee is welcome to arrange a language translator with necessary equipment to translate for them at the event. Please notify our office staff of any language translation accommodations you or your group has arranged by contacting tofwhelp@deseretbook.com so we can provide the accommodations for translation.

Is there a scholarship program?

Yes. It is our desire that all women, including those with financial limitations, be given the opportunity to attend TOFW. To assist in these circumstances we offer a scholarship program. The program is based on the “Widow’s Mite Principle” with the scholarship recipient making the sacrifice to pay only what she can toward the registration. AT THE EVENT

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Nice, casual attire is appropriate. Sunday dress is not expected or necessary.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

Parking information will be posted on the event details page for the specific event two-four weeks before the event.

How WILL i CHECK-IN? DO I NEED A TICKET?

Upon arrival, please proceed to the welcome area. All attendees will need to show a paper or electronic ticket for scanning, they will then be given a wristband, tote bag, workbook and program. Once event doors are open, you can proceed into the event to select your seats.

HOW DOES SEATING WORK?

TOFW seating is general admission and first come, first serve. Limited premium seating is also available for purchase for every event.

The venue is required to attach chairs together in accordance with federal and state fire marshal regulations. If you desire additional space please locate a seat that has an available seat next to it.

New for 2019, premium seating will be available as an upgrade during registration purchase. For more information about premium seating click here.

CAN I SAVE SEATS?

Excessive seat-saving is inappropriate; please be respectful of others who have also waited in line for seating by limiting the number of seats being saved. Please leave unoccupied seats together in groups so ushers can easily accommodate as many groups as possible. Seating will be redistributed from Friday to Saturday; seats cannot be saved overnight.  In the premium seating area seats cannot be saved; premium upgrade credential must be shown to occupy a seat. No exceptions.

Will I choose from an offering of classes at TOFW?

The TOFW experience is designed to bring your favorite authors and musical artists to one stage. This format makes it easy for you to relax and enjoy the event without the hassle of creating a schedule.

CAN I BRING FOOD? WHAT ABOUT LUNCH?

There will be an 80-minute lunch break on Saturday. We recommend that you and your group make plans in advance for this lunch break. Please note: most venues strictly prohibit outside food being brought into the venue. Specific information can be found on the venue website, on the TOFW event page two to three weeks before the event, and in the event details email sent to attendees approximately one week before the event.

IS WI-FI AVAILABLE?

Each venue is different so there is not a promise of attendee Wi-Fi in every location. Some venues do have free Wi-Fi available in public areas of the building, and all typically have good cellular reception.
