Fear, doubt, and insecurity got you down?

Hello Friends!

We are so happy you’re here!

Have you been feeling discouraged or inadequate in some place in life lately? You are not alone! Here are 5 tips in under 5 minutes to bring you a little immediate relief.

Fill in the blank with whatever is on your mind right now.

Am I _________ enough?

Feelings of doubt, insecurity, and inadequacy can plague our minds—especially in times of transition. When you think about it, we are almost always navigating some type of transition in life.

Our life circumstances are always changing. Transitions take energy! Are we giving ourselves grace as we navigate through them?

When we start something new, whether it’s the big stuff like a new job, having a child, or moving to a new place or something as small as the weather shifting between seasons—we become more susceptible to feelings of inadequacy.

But there’s good news here!

Struggling with something, big or small, is not actually evidence that we are not up to the task. It is an invitation to embrace humanity and allow Christ to help us through it.

So as you think about whatever it is you filled that blank with—try shifting your focus to one of these instead.

Things to remember when we feel inadequate

1 - We are never meant to do it all by ourselves

2 - Our limitations are invitations for collaboration with each other and with Christ.

3 - “God can use our ordinary skills to accomplish His extraordinary work”. - Michelle Craig

4 - It is by divine design that we can’t be everything for everyone.

5 - Struggling is evidence of humanity, not inadequacy.

A fun perspective shift to try when the self-doubt floods in is to try asking, “where is the invitation?”

Maybe it’s an invitation to allow Christ to make up for what is lacking, maybe it is an ivitation to ask for help or accept help. Or maybe it’s an invitation to remember that these feelings exist because of the divinity within us.

We have these feelings because we are daughters and sons of God, born with the Light of Christ yet living in a fallen world. These feelings are God given and create an urgency to act.
— Michelle Craig

Navigating feelings of fear, doubt, insecurity, and inadequacy gets a lot easier when we decide to trust it is not our own personal failure, but instead part of the plan as an invitation to embrace our humanity and connect to divinity.

Let’s give ourselves grace in the growth!
