How to have faith in the seeds you’ve planted
Every day, we make a difference in our circles, planting seeds of faith in our homes and scattering seeds of love everywhere we go.
The small actions we take, the words we share, the care we minister, all witness that we are followers of Jesus Christ. President Camille N. Johnson said, “The sisterhood of women, unburdened by prejudice and oppression, can unite across boundaries through the simplest of acts.”
We know you’ve planted many seeds along your way, making the path easier for someone to grow in, and more beautiful for someone to follow. Much of the time, we don’t get to see the results of our efforts. It is then that we show our trust in the Master Gardener to tend and cultivate what we can’t supply on our own.
Friend, fellow planter of good things, we hope you can join us at a Magnify event this year. We find strength to keep growing and to keep doing good in the world when we gather with you.

Recognize the help along the way.
We aren’t alone in our efforts to teach and share of Christ’s goodness. “Our greatest success will be in unleashing the power of our global sisterhood by unleashing the power of women as expressed through faith and conscience,” President Camille N. Johnson said. The gospel seeds we plant will also be nourished by other faithful women striving to be like Him.
Nurture your spirit.
Just as soil needs to be replenished with nutrients, our spirits need to replenish through God’s light, scripture study, conversations with friends, and quiet moments of stillness. When we do this, we have strength to let our light shine and help others grow.
Measure growth.
Take time to understand how the people and things you’ve nurtured are showing signs of growth. This could be in personal testimony from temple attendance or in the way a child speaks of Jesus. A tree planted this year won’t yield fruit, but we can still see the potential of fruit to come.
Keep faith during stillness.
Like dormant plants during winter rest, growth might look stalled, but that is sometimes part of the process. Sometimes we don’t get to reap the harvest, but all of our efforts help to make the world a better and more holy place.
Spread your roots.
Your influence matters and is needed. Let the Master Gardener continue to do His work through you. He promises miracles. He promises to magnify our efforts. With Him and through Him, there is growth and beauty in and around us.
